Magdalena Fernandez Codina

Magdalena is an Argentine artist who has lived in Barcelona for six years. Her path began long before, rooted in a visceral connection with nature: the breathing sea, sunsets that melt slowly. Clay became her first refuge, a slower rhythm that taught her to pause, to feel, to let the material guide her.
 

During a getaway to Cadaqués, the light pushed her toward the canvas. She dove into oil paint, intense, unruly,  and found her own language, working with thick brushes, sponges, and sometimes her hands.
 

Her work captures a fleeting second that refuses to fade: a sky holding on to its last glow, warm memory, a soft nostalgia. A calm, powerful energy that stops you just enough to make you stay a little longer.
